Podium Players Community Theater Proudly Presents… Amy’s House
Amy’s House is a loosely based production about the story of Amy Archer, a Connecticut woman who, at the turn of the twentieth century, establishes one of the first nursing homes in the country.
In order to keep her business alive and fulfill what she believes to be her purpose in life, Amy turns into a serial killer, poisoning her residents with arsenic-laced lemonade.
The pressure of maintaining a double life, as well as constant strain brought on from the memories of the lives Amy has shattered, leads Amy’s descent into madness. This musical is a mix of Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, and evil fun.
